Amazing medieval fortress built on a rock overlooking the Tarn valley.

Built on a rock overlooking the Tarn valley and Gorges, Peyrelade castle (XII / XVI century) was one of the most important fortresses of Rouergue during the Middle Ages.
Under restoration for nearly 40 years, the castle opens its doors : you will discover through a scenography (translated into dutsh, german, english, spanish) or a guided tour in english, the surrounding walls rehabilitated and the walk-way recently opened to visitors, the vaulted halls , the drawbridge, and the incredible rock-tower that offers spectacular views of the surroundings.
